One of the worst places I've lived, and I used to live at Imperial. The walls are so thin you can hear almost everything. We lived on the third floor and sometimes we'd hear loud music coming from the floors below us for days at a time. We always had noisy neighbors put beside us and next to us who would play loud music, leave their dogs to bark for hours, sometimes late into the night, or they'd yell and fight. And we were supposedly in the "quiet building", according to the office. When we first moved in, the air conditioning went out for our entire building and it wasn't fixed for almost two months (just in time for summer, too!) We also put in a work order to have our kitchen counter fixed because it was buckling down and pulling away from the sink and after five years, it was still that way when we moved out, which was surprising because maintenance is usually pretty good at coming the same day an order was put in. One of my main problems with living here was that it seemed like their own rules weren't being enforced, and there were a lot of them. People were supposed to keep their dogs on leashes and clean up after them, however it was a common occurrence that they wouldn't, to which my own dog and other members of my household were bombarded by bigger dogs. The office sent out letters to everyone that there was a "poop cam" being installed to catch the people not cleaning up after their animals, however I never saw any around the property and, needless to say, the dog sh*t piles kept happening, which smelled just lovely after the winter months and the snow started to melt. The office also threatened to blanket fine everyone, even those without animals, for these occurrences. Because of the lack of property cameras, there were also a few parking lot hit n runs. And if you or anyone in your household has an aversion to smoke (cigarette or otherwise), don't even bother moving in because the smoke from apartments not even near yours will travel through the vents and into yours. As someone who's allergic to cigarette smoke, I went through countless inhalers and plenty of sore throats/breathing problems. The weed smell was also vomit inducing at times and the only thing we were told was to call the police. Which we did several times and, surprise surprise, nothing was done on the apartment's end. Smaller annoyances included the refrigerator clicking at random times, the bath tub paint (who's bright idea was it to paint a bath tub?) peeling whenever I cleaned it, no screens on the windows (i found one in the dumpster of all places, otherwise i wouldn't have had one for my bedroom), and near constant trash, mud, and other debris in the hallways. The entryways always smelled of dog pee. Also, the communal washers smelled disgusting because, like their other rules that they didn't enforce, nobody left the doors open for ventilation after use. They also ripped holes into plenty of clothes and blankets. Save yourself a headache and just take them to a laundry mat that is actually maintained. Most of the equipment in the work out room is almost always busted or just not worth it. Buy a gym membership. Some pros include: holiday parties that hardly anybody partakes in anyways and a pretty spacious walk-in closet in the master bedroom. So if those sound like your cup of tea, enough to ignore every other bad thing here, then this is the place for you! /sarcasm. There's countless other things I could talk about but I feel this review is getting long. Just know, there are plenty of other things that made this place miserable, especially in the last two years we were there. Honestly, the only reason why I'm not giving this place a one star is because Kristie and Debbie, who worked in the office, were kind and did what they could when rent was late and didn't charge an outlandish amount of money in fees when Covid-19 hit. That deserves at least some recognition. All in all, save yourself the trouble and find some other place that's better for the price. However, if you have no other options, just know that you get what you pay for.

I’ve rented from a couple places around town, however Sweetwater heights has got to be #1 on my list. Not because of the apartments or the people who live around here (even though it’s a very good place to live and everybody here is nice) it has got to be how I have been treated by the new landlord! I haven’t had a landlord be so understanding and actually care about their residents like they do! Kate did everything she could to help when it came to the application process and helping me get settled in! Whenever I have an issue or need something I’m greeted with the best attitude and smile! If you’re looking for a place to rent where you aren’t going to have a mean landlord and great service I would highly recommend Sweetwater Heights! They have new staff and always have the best move in prices! After all, why not have a month of free rent your first month moving in! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Sweetwater Heights is a wonderful place to live. The manager, Kate, is very friendly and fosters community living with such things as contests and drawings...

Efficient staff and clean grounds and common areas. Many on site activities and plenty to do indoors when the weather turns less than savory.

Deb and Kate are such amazing people. They made moving in super easy and have went above and beyond to help me with my first apartment. I couldn’t be happier with the decision of moving in!

Edited to respond* The apartments are about what you would expect for the price. The problems are with with their policies and more their attitude. I have never made a late payment ever in my almost 2 years living here. I even had signed up for autopay to insure my rent was paid on time each month. Apparently it did not go through this month. This was not due to lack of funds and my bank confirmed no charge attempt was even made. I received a call today saying my rent was late. I paid it right away. I was charge 140 dollars in fees which is 20% of my monthly rent for autopay not working correctly.. I called to ask about this and was told those are the fees, completely dismissed and the conversation was ended. While I do appreciate a reply, I am thinking this is automated as I had already contacted the office and was blown off. I see no reason to repeat this.
